Services

Being a freelancer allows me to be flexible: I can take a basic concept, develop it, implement it, host it and then manage it; re-vamp an existing system or just offer advice if that's all that's needed!

I mainly focus on web application development but do from time-to-time take on web design projects.

In terms of my web development work, I can create custom applications for a wide variety of tasks. In the past I've created tailor made CMS systems, mailing list management tools, diary scheduling systems, on-demand file applications, reporting tools, login systems, database archive managers, e-commerce systems and all kinds of other things for my clients. I've also worked on a number of projects on which the brief is to modify an existing system to meet new requirements.

I'm happy to work directly with clients or collaborate with web designers or agencies who need to add interactive elements to their designs.

A concern many people have when entering the web development process is that it's going to be stressful, time-consuming and confusing. You won't find that is the case with me. I can setup everything for you and deal with search engine optimisation, hosting and the like. I am always happy to provide advice and assistance where needed and will explain in an easy-to-understand way how everything works.

My work is always of the highest quality - I never cut corners. Everything I produce is 100% compliant with W3C standards (which signifies my code is error free and will display well on all browsers). Extensive use of CSS (a formatting language) ensures my designs are efficient and can be easily adjusted and/or extended at a later date. Usability is important too - the websites and applications I build are easy to use and accessible to a wide audience.
