About Mark Boosey
I'm a web developer based in Liphook, North Hampshire (UK). I provide web coding services to a select group of clients, and spend the rest of my time developing and expanding a couple of websites I own and run.
I became passionate about creating websites in the mid-90s, and have been building them ever since. I studied Internet Systems at Aston University (Birmingham), one of the leading technical universities in the UK. My final year dissertation involved designing and developing a "Generic Web-Based Customer Relationship Management System"... exciting stuff... ok maybe not, however my work on this project helped me achieve a 1st class honours degree.
Before starting up my own company, I worked for Reuters - the multinational news and financial data provider. As a member of their London web-team I helped develop, launch and then manage a number of complex web applications which allow Reuters staff to complete tasks like order management and project tracking.
I am an expert at creating dynamic PHP systems. I'm also highly experienced in Perl, ColdFusion, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and other web languages. Within the web development field, usability and user-interaction particularly interest me.
I'm in my mid-twenties. I love watching motorsport and follow F1 closely. I'm also a big fan of TV and radio comedy. I try and get outdoors when I can - I enjoy mountain biking and playing football. I attempt to play golf now and again too, but when I do I normally end up with a sore throat from having to shout "fore" a little too often!
